Amersham Street Fair
From: September 19th, 2010
To: September 20th, 2010
In 1200, King John granted Amersham a market and fair, which is still held every year when rides and stalls occupy the High Street. stretching the whole length of the town.
Obviously King John is better known for the Magna Carta which grants rights to all the citizens of the country and is totally down on the concept popular at the time of chopping the hands off the common people at the whim of the local Baron, but that was signed in 1215 so Amersham Fair stretches back even further, and everyone has to keep their hands off this event, as opposed to keeping their hands on!
King John also lost his jewels in the Wash, and anyone who has been to Amersham Launderette will realise what a nuisance that can be.
So come and enjoy this traditional street fair, one of the oldest in Britain and with great up to date entertainment to add to the history of this fun fair!
Mile End Park Family Fair

To: September 26th, 2010
There is £1 entrance fee for your safety and security.
You can now walk all the way through this park to Victoria Park at the top over the Green Bridge which is an experience you should try.
But not while we are in the park, because you should be walking down to join us for 4 days of fun in the sun (we are sure) for one of our best attended and most anticipated summer festivals in an area we know and love. Postcode for this park is E3 4PX
Turnham Green Chiswick
From: September 30th, 2010
To: October 3rd, 2010
Annual Autumn visit to this beautiful park in west London, opposite W H Smith, postcode W4 5TA. This fair opens every day from 2 pm to 10 pm and you can buy a wristband for just £1 on any weekday and go on the rides for just £1 each, dodgems £1.50 per car.
Turnham Green is a beautiful small park in the heart of West London and there are plenty of seats around the fair for you to rest and enjoy the views. The fascinating church next door makes this more a village green than a London Park, and whilst there you can think that in the past this was a favourite stop for highwaymen who ambushed careless travellers as they took the long journey from London to Hounslow. It used to take hours in those days, bit like today when the District Line is closed for endless repairs!
